Easy Baked Salmon (Flaky, Juicy & Totally Foolproof)

Perfectly flaky, buttery, and incredibly tender, this Easy Baked Salmon is a reliable, stress-free dinner that feels elegant but takes almost no effort!

Ingredients

  • 1–1½ lbs salmon fillet
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Optional lemon slices

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place the salmon on the sheet and pat dry.
  • Brush lightly with olive oil or melted butter.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Add lemon slices if using.
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes until flaky and just cooked through.
  • Let it rest briefly before serving so all the flavors settle perfectly.

Variations

  • Don’t overbake. Salmon loves a gentle touch! Remember that whether it is pancakes or fish….things keep cooking even when you take them out of the oven.
  • A squeeze of fresh lemon brightens everything.
