Garlic Butter Shrimp (Easy, Juicy & Packed with Flavor)

Succulent shrimp tossed in a glossy, garlicky butter sauce that tastes luxurious but comes together in minutes. Fast, flavorful, and wildly satisfying!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4–6 cloves garlic, minced
  • Optional lemon juice
  • Optional parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Pat the shrimp dry so they sear beautifully (moisture is the enemy of a perfect sear!)
  • Season lightly with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add shrimp in a single layer and cook until pink and lightly golden.
  • Lower heat slightly and add butter and garlic.
  • Cook just until fragrant. About 30 seconds.
  • Toss shrimp in the garlic butter until glossy and coated.
  • Finish with optional lemon juice and parsley.

  • Shrimp cook very quickly, so keep a close eye on them.
  • Fresh garlic gives the sauce incredible aroma and depth!
  • A squeeze of lemon brightens everything beautifully, and a touch of lemon zest adds and extra punch.
