Juicy Chicken Breast (Easy & Never Dry!)

Perfectly tender, beautifully seasoned, and genuinely juicy, this chicken breast delivers everything you want and none of the dryness you don’t. Simple, reliable, and ready to become a weeknight favorite!

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Paprika
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  • Pat the chicken breasts dry. (Getting them dry helps them sear into that gorgeous golden color!)
  • Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Sear the chicken until golden on both sides. (Searing over higher heat builds flavor, and finishing over lower heat keeps the chicken perfectly juicy. That’s the whole secret 😉)
  • Lower the heat to medium-low and add butter to the pan.
  • Continue cooking gently until the centers are just cooked through.
  • Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing so the juices can settle beautifully.

Variations

  • If one end is much thicker, a gentle pound helps everything cook evenly.
  • After searing, lower heat is the secret to juicy, tender chicken.
  • A small squeeze of lemon brightens the flavors beautifully.
  • Don’t be afraid to jazz the chicken up with your other favorite spices!
  • Slice just before serving to keep every bite as juicy as possible.
  • This chicken is perfect for salads, bowls, wraps, and pastas.
  • For an extra kick, top off with fresh cracked pepper, chili oil or Red Pepper Flakes.
