Garlic Butter Chicken (Juicy, Golden & Exceptionally Easy)
This Garlic Butter Chicken is rich, savory, and beautifully golden with the most irresistible buttery garlic sauce. It’s simple, wildly flavorful, and comes together fast enough for even your busiest nights!
Ingredients
- 1½ – 2 lbs chicken breasts or boneless chicken thighs
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 4–6 cloves garlic, minced
- Optional parsley
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Sear until golden and cooked through, then transfer to a plate.
- Lower heat slightly and add butter to the pan.
- Stir in the garlic and cook just until fragrant. (About 30 seconds)
- Return chicken to the skillet and spoon that fabulously glossy garlic butter over the top.
- Let everything simmer gently for a minute so the flavors can mix & mingle.
- Finish with black pepper and optional parsley…and some fresh grated Parmesan if you’re feeling bold!
Variations
- Fresh garlic makes the sauce deeply aromatic and rich.
- If the butter starts browning too fast, lower the heat. (but a touch of browned butter makes it extra epic!)
- Add a squeeze of lemon or a touch of lemon zest for brightness.
- This is delicious over pasta, rice, or roasted potatoes. (or just on a fork;)
- Leftovers reheat beautifully!
