Frosted Cranberry Margarita

The Frosted Cranberry Margarita is holiday magic in a glass — bright, tart, and perfectly festive with a sugared rosemary sprig that looks like it’s been dusted in snow. It’s the kind of cocktail that tastes like Christmas cheer but feels classy enough for any winter night in. Recipe below!

Ingredients

  • 3 oz silver tequila
  • 1 ½ oz triple sec (or Cointreau)
  • 3 oz cranberry juice (100% juice, not cocktail)
  • 1 oz lime juice (freshly squeezed)
  • ½ oz simple syrup or honey (optional, for sweetness)
  • Ice
  • Fresh cranberries for garnish
  • Small rosemary sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  • Run a lime wedge around the rim of each glass, then dip in salt or sugar — your choice depending on whether you want a tangy or sweet finish.
  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add tequila, triple sec, cranberry juice, lime juice, and simple syrup.
  • Shake until chilled (about 15 seconds) and strain into glasses filled with fresh ice.
  • Garnish with fresh cranberries and a frosted rosemary sprig.

Frosted Rosemary Garnish

  • Lightly mist small rosemary sprigs with water (a quick rinse and gentle shake works too).
  • Roll them in granulated sugar until coated — they’ll look snowy and sparkly.
  • Let them air dry on a paper towel for a few minutes before adding to drinks.

Tips & Variations

  • For a sparkling twist, top each glass with a splash of club soda or prosecco.
  • Make a pitcher version by tripling the ingredients and chilling until ready to serve.
  • Freeze extra cranberries to use as edible “ice cubes” — they keep your drink cold without watering it down.
