Dutch Oven No Knead Bread Recipe
Key Ingredients:
- 1 packet yeast
- 1/2 tablespoon salt
- 1/2 cup honey (or less/more depending on taste preference)
- 3 1/4 cup flour
- 1.5 cups warm (not hot) water
Instructions:
- Mix the warm (not hot) water with the yeast, honey and salt
- Fold in the flour by ~1/2 cup at a time
- Stir ingredients together but don’t worry about mixing too well
- Dough will be very sticky
- Add more water and/or flour as needed to get a sticky consistency
- Cover dough and let rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size (put somewhere warm like a sunny window to make it rise faster)
- Heat covered Dutch oven for ~30 minutes at 450°
- Dust a silicone mat or parchment paper with flour
- Scrape the dough onto the mat or parchment paper
- Scoop dough from the mat or parchment paper and place into the hot Dutch oven
- Bake for ~20 minutes covered + 5 minutes uncovered (until light golden brown)
